Welcome to Kentucky Inspection Services

How It All Started

After 20 years in the corporate world (mostly power industry), I hit a crossroads when that whole industry decided to shake things up. I was at that age where starting over felt about as appealing as a root canal, but then I realized something—I’d been fixing, building, and troubleshooting houses my whole life.

Growing up in a family construction business meant I learned houses from the foundation up. Weekends weren’t for cartoons—they were for learning why that wall was sagging, how to wire a outlet properly, and why you never, ever skip the vapor barrier.

When I started Kentucky Inspection Services during a global pandemic (because apparently I like a challenge), it wasn’t just about launching another business. It was about being the guy who shows up when you’re about to make the biggest purchase of your life and actually knows what he’s talking about.

My mission: Help people buy houses without getting screwed over by stuff they could have spotted with the right guidance.

Home Inspections You Can Actually Understand

I’m Chris, and I’ve been crawling through crawl spaces, poking around attics, and figuring out why things don’t work the way they should for over 25 years. I’m licensed to inspect homes in Kentucky and Ohio, but more importantly, I actually know how to fix what I find.

What makes me different? I didn’t just get certified and start carrying a flashlight. I grew up swinging hammers, running electrical, and learning that every house has its own personality—and its own problems. My dad had me on job sites before I could drive, teaching me that there’s a right way and a wrong way to do everything—and about a dozen creative ways people try to cut corners.

That experience means when I’m inspecting your potential home, I’m not just checking boxes on a list. I’m looking at how things were actually built, spotting the shortcuts that’ll bite you later, and recognizing the quality work that means you’re getting a good deal. I’m looking at it like my own kid was buying it—because I know what it costs to fix things when they go wrong.

My Core Values:

  • Honesty – I’ll tell you exactly what I see, whether you want to hear it or not
  • Integrity – I show up when I say I will and do what I say I’ll do
  • Helping others succeed – Your win is my win, and I’ll help you get there

Why Choose Kentucky Inspection Services

Same-Day Home Inspection Reports

No sitting around for weeks wondering what we found. You’ll get clear photos, explanations that don’t require a construction degree, and honest advice about what’s actually urgent versus what can wait. Same-day delivery is our standard—never more than 24 hours.

25+ Years Real Construction Experience

I don’t just spot problems—I know how to fix them and what they’ll cost. Growing up in construction means I spot things other inspectors miss because I’ve actually had to deal with the consequences when things go wrong. This isn’t just book knowledge—it’s real-world, hands-on experience.

Comprehensive Home Inspection Coverage

We check everything that matters: electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, structural components, insulation, windows, doors, and more. Over 300 inspection points to give you the complete picture.

Professional Equipment & Expertise

I use thermal imaging cameras, moisture meters, and other fancy gadgets, but more importantly, I know what I’m looking at. Technology is only as good as the experience behind it, and I’ve got plenty of both.

I Speak Human, Not Contractor

You’ll get explanations in regular English, not industry jargon. I know how to translate “significant moisture intrusion in the subfloor substrate” into “your bathroom floor is rotting and here’s what needs to happen.”

Your Partner After the Inspection

Need a trusted contractor months later? Have questions about your report? Want to know if that weird noise is normal? I stay connected because your success matters to me. I’ve built relationships with honest professionals who’ll treat you right—no fly-by-night operations.

Focus on What Actually Matters

Not every issue is the end of the world. I help you understand what’s urgent (fix it now), what can wait (put it on the list), and what you can live with (character, not crisis)—so you can make smart decisions instead of panicking over every little thing.

Available When You Need Us

Two inspection times daily (9am and 1pm) means we can usually fit you in quickly. Emergency inspections for time-sensitive situations? We’ll make it work. Your timeline matters to us.
